NFC North Prediction

Green Bay Packers

2014 Record: 12-4

The Packers have Aaron Rodgers and Jordy Nelson and really that is all you need to know going into this season. Their meltdown in the playoffs last year was extremely embarrassing but this is a new year, new season. Eddie Lacy is a machine and the receiver core is as stacked as it gets. The few holes on defense seem to be covered by drafting some of the hottest d-backs in the league. Having the rest of division in a strange transition year, Packers have a high chance of being division leaders (again) with their depth this year.

GAT’s Season Prediction: 11-5

Detroit Lions

2014 Record: 11-5

Detroit seems to be the only team in this division that could give Green Bay a run for their money. With multiple chances for Detroit to shine last year, they biffed it against the Cowboys in the Wild Card game. Matthew Stafford is turning into a much better QB than I ever thought he would be and luckily he has the offensive weapons to do it now. The biggest question is if Calvin Johnson aka “Megatron” will stay healthy and stay performing at the same level he was expected to last year. I’m sure as hell not taking him in FF this year due to his inconsistencies. It will be interesting to see how the defense looks without Suh. One thing is for sure… the Chiefs will be putting a smack down on the Lions over in London this year.

GAT’s Season Prediction: 9-7

Minnesota Vikings

2014 Record: 7-9

When I think of Matt Cassel, I do not think of championship performances. So to say that it was a good idea that the Vikings got rid of him would be an understatement. Bridge over troubled waters is not going to take the Vikings to the Super Bowl and quite frankly I’m thinking 3rd in the NFC North at best. Adrian Peterson is going to be more of a hassle than a weapon and the receiving core has plenty of promise but lack of consistency. Cordarrelle Patterson and Matt Asiata have been the only things keeping the Vikings alive on offense, let’s see what happens this year. I could be wrong, but I don’t think this team is going to amount to much.

GAT’s Season Prediction: 6-10

Chicago Bears

2014 Record: 5-11

When will it sink in that Jay Cutler is EVERYTHING wrong with this team. John Fox, are you listening? Read this article. They will lose everything this season until Cutler is cut and removed from the picture. I hate him and everyone else should too.
GAT’s Season Prediction: 0-16
