We’re taking a bit of a detour today. I hope you forgive me.
Today’s Badass Babe is me.
This was not my plan.
Actually, most of 2016 has not gone according to plan. I’ve been struggling with it. Let’s just say, it hasn’t made me feel like a badass.
I admire and respect the women I’ve introduced you to so much and I owe myself that same admiration and respect.
I associate badasses with success. And the true badasses define success for themselves.
If we were going on your standard definition of success, I’d miss the mark.
But I don’t accept that. Not anymore.
For me, it’s badass to accept your mistakes, learn from them, and move forward. That’s hard to do. It takes strength and humility to admit that you’re wrong. It takes wisdom to reflect on those mistakes and courage to do better.
Looking in the mirror and finding things you want to change isn’t for the faint of heart. Being vulnerable takes true grit.
Maybe success really means relentlessly moving forward, regardless of setbacks and derailments.
And I’ve done all those things. So, maybe I’ve fallen off course, but I’ll be alright.
If any of this is resonating with you, congratulations, my friend. You’re a badass.
If an online introduction isn’t enough, I have good news for you:
You’ll have a chance to meet the Badass Babes and hang out with the Sprotties at our networking event at Snow & Co. on Thursday, May 12th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm! We’ll have great drink specials and obviously badass company. I hope to see you there!
